CNN’s weekly average ratings, a paltry 385,000 viewers, were dismal compared to
Fox News which averaged 2.4 million overall viewers with 377,000 in the 25-54 group.
CNN attracted only 95,000 viewers in the group that news advertisers seek to reach, those between the ages of 25 and 54, according to a
New York Times report published Wednesday.
CNN, which like Fox News provided heavy coverage of the
failed roll out of Obamacare last week, dropped to fifth place in the ratings on the day that Kathleen Sebelius, the secretary of Health and Human Services, testified in Congress, leading analysts to ponder whether the station’s more ideologically inclined audience tuned out.
