article image'Breaking Bad' creator Vince Gilligan to appear on 'Community'

Vince Gilligan created one of the greatest television dramas of all time. Now he's about to make his acting debut on another show that's become part of popular culture - NBC's "Community."
According to, Gilligan will appear on an episode of this season scheduled to air sometime next year.
Entertainment Weekly said that Gilligan will play "a smooth-talking gold digger who winds up exacerbating a fight between Annie (Alison Brie) and Abed (Danny Pudi)."
He won't be the only "Breaking Bad" alumni appearing on the show this season, according to Rolling Stone. Jonathan Banks, he played Mike in "Breaking Bad," will have a 11 episode arc as a criminology professor.
In addition to his acting debut, Gilligan will be executive producing AMC's "Better Call Saul," a spin-off from "Breaking Bad," and a police series for CBS called "Battle Creek," according to Entertainment Weekly.
