Rock singer-songwriter and RCA recording artist Chris Daughtry released the music video for his newest single "Waiting for Superman."
An American Idol alum, Chris Daughtry co-wrote "Waiting for Superman" with Martin Johnson (the lead singer of the group Boys Like Girls) and Sam Hollander. It is the second track on his forthcoming studio album Baptized.
The song's music video was directed by Shane Drake and it was produced by Andrew Lerios. It is really moving and it tugs at the heartstrings since it features a real-life hero who saves several people in their daily lives, yet he is misunderstood and he is even subject to arrest several times. Without giving too much away, this is one of Daughtry's finest music videos to date that is certain to leave his fans in goosebumps.
It is an extremely radio-friendly tune and it should fare well on contemporary pop and rock stations, as well as adult contemporary radio stations such as New York's 106.7 Lite FM and 102.7 Fresh FM.
Vocally, Chris Daughtry showcases his impressive range and his superb writing ability. Radio is in need of songs of such high quality and substance. His single garners an A rating and it is simultaneously optimistic and inspiring.
