article imageBoston marathon bombing costume gets woman fired from job

By Owen Weldon     Nov 5, 2013 in World
Alicia Ann Lynch, 22, from Michigan, posted a photo of herself in a Halloween costume, which went viral online and received a lot of negative attention.
According to New York Daily, the costume that Lynch chose to wear resembled a victim from the Boston Marathon bombing, which happened this past April.
According to Keprtv, following outcry that came pouring in, Lynch said she ended up being fired from her job.
According to The Hollywood Gossip, Lynch issued an apology, saying that the outfit was too soon, and that is was distasteful of her to wear it. She said that she never meant to disrespect anyone and that she was sorry for offending people or hurting them.
Lynch went onto say that she can't undo what she did, but issuing an apology was a start. Towards the end of her statement she questions whether it is right for her to be threatened and wish death upon someone to 'make it right'.
