A Japanese anime magazine is to publish a second manga based on the BBC’s hit Sherlock Holmes film series, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Young Ace magazine will run Shi o Yobu Angō, a manga based on The Blind Banker, which aired in 2011 as the second episode of the first season of Sherlock, — the modern-day interpretation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories.
In 2012, Young Ace published a manga adatation of the show’s the pilot episode, A Study in Pink.
The Blind Banker has been drawn by the Japanese artist Jay, who was also responsible for last year’s adaptation. Both are published by Kadokawa Shoten.
According to Anime News Network, Shi o Yobu Angō will be published on Wednesday, 4 December.
As reported last week, the widely anticipated Season 3 of Sherlock will receive its US debut on January 19; however, confirmation of its UK premiere is still to be revealed.
