Jerusalem - Paula Abdul, singer, recording artist, choreographer, dancer, and television personality has arrived in Israel for the first time.
As reported yesterday on Digital Journal, Israel's Ministry of Tourism is hosting award-winning star Paula Abdul this week who has recently become more interested in her Jewish roots. About her stay in Israel a Ministry of Tourism news release quotes Abdul as saying:
"I'm so overwhelmed with gratitude to be here, I've wanted to come for years. My career took me many places and this is my first vacation in almost eight years that I'm actually here to sightsee like a regular tourist... I know already when I have to leave I won't want to."
She has already met with the President of Israel, Mr. Shimon Peres at his official residence in Jerusalem. After the meeting, Abdul visited the Israel Museum, which she followed with a tasting tour of the Mahane Yehuda market in Jerusalem, where she was warmly greeted by locals and tourists alike.
