article imageVideo: Haydn killed by a cell phone in Gothenburg, Sweden

By Anne Sewell     Oct 27, 2013 in Entertainment
Gothenburg - German concert pianist, Christian Zacharias was beautifully performing Haydn's Piano Concerto in Gothenburg, Sweden, when suddenly a cell phone starts to ring. A lesson should be learned here by all.
It was at a particularly quiet and "magic" moment in the concerto, that the cell phone suddenly starts ringing. Zacharias immediately stops playing, and says firmly "Don't answer; let it ring."
To make it worse, according to the description on the video, it was apparently the second time a phone rang during the concert.
The concert was held at the Gothenburg Concert Hall on October 23rd, and the following day, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra published a clip of the scene on YouTube.
The video above includes footage of the incident in the concert hall, but also includes comments from Zacharias, telling us what it is like to have a concert interrupted in that way.
For anyone interesting in hearing the whole concert it will be published, without ring tones on from November 5th to December 5th, 2013.
Let this be a lesson to us all. Turn off the darn thing when at a concert!
