article image'Dr. Who' 50th anniversary U.S. theater list announced

Fans of "Dr. Who" can head to U.S. theaters in November to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Tickets on sale at 9 a.m. ET/8 a.m. CT Oct. 25.
It was announced that the premiere would be Nov. 23. It will be simulcast in 11 cities in the United States as well. On Nov. 25, it goes into 300 theaters in the United States.
The premiere simulcast on Nov. 23 involves the following:
Los Angeles: Cinemark Rave 18 + IMAX
Los Angeles: Century Huntington Beach Bella Terra + XD
New York: AMC Loews Village 7
New York: Regal E-Walk Stadium 13 & RPX
Chicago: Century Evanston + XD
Chicago: Cinemark at Seven Bridges + IMAX
Philadelphia: Cinemark Rave University City Penn
Philadelphia: Cinemark 16
Dallas-Ft. Worth: Cinemark West Plano + XD
San Francisco: Century San Francisco Centre 9
Washington, DC: Cinemark Rave Fairfax Corner + XD
Houston: Cinemark Tinseltown + XD
Atlanta: Cinemark Tinseltown 17
Seattle-Tacoma: Cinemark Lincoln Square Cinema
Minneapolis: AMC Southdale 16
Zap2it has reported that tickets can be bought at and NCM Fathom Events and BBC AMERICA aim to celebrate 50 years of the world’s longest-running Sci-Fi series "Doctor Who."
The RealD 3D presentation of the "Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special: The Day of the Doctor" will take place Nov. 25 in select cinemas nationwide and includes behind-the-scenes bonus content exclusive to theaters.
