article imageMiley Cyrus smashes the Billboard album charts with 'Bangerz'

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 21, 2013 in Entertainment
Recording artist Miley Cyrus released her fourth studio album 'Bangerz' on October 8, via her record label, RCA Records.
It went on to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 all-genre charts, thus becoming her third studio effort to achieve this milestone. Her previous CDs Meet Miley Cyrus and Breakout were also chart-topping albums on Billboard.
Thanks to the commercial success of the new album, her latest radio single "Wrecking Ball" moves up one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, after dropping to No. 3 the previous week. Fortunately for Miley Cyrus, "Wrecking Ball" had topped those aforementioned charts for two consecutive weeks as a result of its controversial music video which shattered YouTube records by generating 19.3 million views in one day (where it bested out the record set by One Direction's "Best Song Ever" music video).
As of October 21, Cyrus' music video for "Wrecking Ball" is approaching 250 million views on her official YouTube channel.
