article imageReview: Country singer Griffin Layne delivers on new song 'Won't Let Go' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Oct 19, 2013 in Entertainment
Country music recording artist and songwriter Griffin Layne does a solid job on his new song "Won't Let Go," which he produced.
His vocals are as smooth as silk and they are reminiscent to those of American Idol alum and singer-songwriter Chris Daughtry. The listener can also recall Matt Thomas, the lead singer from the country group Parmalee.
A country-rock ballad, "Won't Let Go," has an optimistic message to it. "The story is about trying to hold on to the one you love when you can feel their insecurities getting the best of them," Griffin Layne said. "It's about showing them that you are there through thick and thin and letting them know that, despite what has transpired in the past, that love and support is still there and things can work if we allow them to."
Layne continued, "We are all inspired by love, whether we care to admit it or not. I believe we are most vulnerable when we actually feel that emotion. It's a beautiful thing."
The Verdict
The production of "Won't Let Go" is brilliant and his vocal performance is quite remarkable. This track deserves to be played on every country radio station in America. It garners an A rating. Griffin Layne stands out as one of Nashville's most promising talents, both as a singer and songwriter.
