The newest trailer has been released for the upcoming anime movie, in the Shin Megami Tensei universe, called “Persona 3 The Movie #1: Spring of Birth.” This movie, from ATLUS (the developers and publishers of Persona 3) and Aniplex (the studio behind the movie), hits theaters across Japan come November 23. If you have played Persona 3, you should be able to get the gist of the movie.
The movie focuses on Makoto Yuki (the silent unnamed protagonist from the video game counterpart) who transfers to Gekkoukan High School. Upon finding out that he's immune to the mysterious 25th hour, aka the Dark Hour, Makoto finds that he is one of a small group of students who are able to utilize Persona. Thus, he joins the covert group, in the form of a high school club, called “S.E.E.S.” They join together to eliminate the Shadows and put an end to the Dark Hour.
Also, another promotional video was released encouraging to pre-order tickets for the movie. It features Tanaka, the infomercial salesman that's featured in the game and shown on TV in Persona 4.
