World Spine Day events have concluded. National Chiropractic Week in Italy ends tomorrow and October is National Chiropractic Month in the United States.
World Spine Day is every October 16th. Every year on this date people from around the world join together to raise awareness on World Spine Day as part of the Bone and Joint Decade’s Action Week. This year’s theme for World Spine Day was “Straighten Up and Move,” focusing on the importance of proper posture and movement in maintaining good spinal health. Health care providers and organizations around the world provided important information, tips and tools to help prevent spinal disorders.
This past week and ending tomorrow, the Genoa-based Italian Chiropractors' Association or Associazione Italiana Chiropratici (A.I.C), held their annual Settimana della Chiropratica or Chiropractic Week nationwide. Free check-ups were given at chiropractic offices throughout Italy.
Every October In the United States is National Chiropractic Health Month (NCHM), an annual nationwide awareness campaign that aims to educate the public about the role of chiropractic in healthcare. The American Chiropractic Association (ACA) established NCHM to educate the public about the many ways they can develop healthier lifestyles. This year’s theme is “Get Vertical!,” and emphasizes the importance of activity to joint health plus the utilization of proper techniques to help optimize functionality at all stages in life.
