article imageSony allowing Playstation 4 pre-orders through PS3 dashboard

By Oliver VanDervoort     Oct 16, 2013 in Entertainment
Sony rolled out a new feature this morning on the Playstation 3 that will help faithful gamers upgrade to the Playstation 4. Engadget was the first to find that there is now an option that will allow PS3 to go ahead and pre-order PS4 games.
This means that on the November 15 launch day, users will be able to pull out their brand new consoles and load any games they pre-ordered right away. No need to run out and buy the game off the shelf. No need to search and surf for the game when millions of others are also looking for the same game.
The offerings and the games you can pre-order certainly isn't a comprehensive list just yet. The first two titles that Sony is offering up are "Knack" and "Warframe." "Knack" is currently being offered up with a price tag of $60. "Warframe" is a free-to-play title. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of need to pre-order a game that won't cost you any money, but at least you know it will be there on launch day.
While there is no word as to just how many Playstation 4 titles will be offered up in the PS3 dashboard, it stands to reason that there will be more titles rolled out before the November 15 launch.
