By Larry Seely     Oct 13, 2013 in Sports
Houston - The St Louis Rams won their first road game of the 2013 NFL season as they capitalized on several mistakes by the Houston Texans for an easy 38-13 victory on Sunday.
Four turnovers played a big role in the win as the Rams defense returned two of those mistakes into touchdowns. St Louis led 17-6 at halftime, but a quick score by the offense and then the two defensive scores broke the game wide open and the rams are now 3-3 on the year and riding a two game winning streak.
Houston dropped to 2-4, not what was expected from a team many thought would challenge Denver for the top spot in the AFC, but mistakes and a sudden lack of offensive production has hurt this team.
Sam Bradford was effective, completing 12 of 16 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns, but it was a coming out party for rookie Zac Stacy as the youngster rushed for 79 yards on 18 carries and added another eleven yards on two receptions.
Matt Schaub was solid under center for Houston, completing 15 of 21 throws for 186 yards, but he was injured in the third quarter and never returned. Arian Foster has a big afternoon, rushing for 141 yards on just 20 carries, but in the NFL mistakes kill and that was the case in this contest.
