article imageOp-Ed: America's child President

By Christopher Wager     Oct 8, 2013 in Politics
In a time when America needs her president, Obama once again pits his federal government against the American people punishing them for government actions.
President Obama has once again recently demonstrated his willingness to behave not like the Commander-in-Chief of a world super power, but rather like a child. As the world is aware, a battle is raging in the U.S. Congress over Obamacare and the U.S budget. What the world audience may not be aware of is the President’s continuing irate, spiteful, and punishing posture against the American people. Once again he demonstrates his public contempt and loathing for those he considers beneath him. At every opportunity he never fails to flex what he feels to be his personal governmental powers against Americans. The first action taken as a result of the government shutdown was to deny Americans access to open air staff-less memorials, including the shutdown of public and private parks even if it means dislocating people from their homes while picking and choosing other services to leave open. And an order was even given by the administration to park staff to make life as difficult as possible for people. Quoted as saying, “I will not negotiate with Congress,” is not a statement of an American President; but, rather an old world communist dictator.
When a president, because he is not getting his way, decides to take it out on the American people and withhold access and services to punish the Republicans, America has a serious problem. Turning off the faucet at home while keeping it running overseas tells Americans where his true loyalty lies. It's time America had a president in the White House and not a child tyrant throwing a tantrum.
