article imageEgyptian militant group claims responsibility for rocket attack

By Sami Zaatari     Oct 8, 2013 in World
An Egyptian militant group has taken responsibility for a rocket-propelled grenade attack on an Egyptian state satellite television network.
The attack took place in a suburb of Cairo, leaving two people injured, in what was a string of attacks to have been carried out by militants on Monday.
The group in question, the Furqan Brigade, only took responsibility for the rocket attack, releasing a video of their assault.
The group claimed the attack was due to "non-believers who intended to uproot Islam from the land of Egypt," and went on to call for attacks on the Egyptian armed forces, citing them as non-Muslims for their conduct.
