Melbourne - Reports of fans throwing a beer bottle and beer can at Azealia Banks in Sydney and Melbourne, respectively, are surfacing after her performances at the Listen Out Festival. Either fans are being rowdy, or they just don't like her.
Last weekend, Azealia performed 15 minutes of her 50 minute set at Listen Out before getting a bottle of beer thrown at her in Sydney.
Then, just this past Saturday, her set lasted only about 90 seconds before a fan threw a can of beer at her, making her feel "unsafe," HotNewHipHop reports.
Banks was performing her song "ATM" when a fan threw the can of beer on stage. Banks immediately stormed off, the Huff Post reports.
A representative for Banks released a statement about the incident.
"Azealia Banks was forced to cut her set short last night at the Listen Out Festival in Melbourne on 5th October 2013. This was as a result of a member of the audience throwing a full can on beer at her on stage. The incident made Azealia and her stage crew feel unsafe. Banks would like to apologize to those fans in the audience whose experience was affected by the behavior of one individual."
Banks performed in Brisbane Sunday night without any issues.
HipHopDX reports that a beer can was thrown at the 22-year-old rapper during a recent performance in Harlem, New York.
