Bluegrass sensation Claire Lynch was crowned "Female Vocalist of the Year" at the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards.
The 2013 IBMA award show took place on September 26. This marked Lynch's third career win in this prestigious category. She had previously taken home this honor in 1997, as well as in 2010.
This year, Lynch was nominated along with such acclaimed female vocalists as Rhonda Vincent, Sonya Isaacs, Amanda Smith, as well as Dale Ann Bradley.
She is signed to Compass Records, which is home to such artists as Dale Ann Bradley and The Gibson Brothers.
Lynch reflected on her recent win, via a posting on her official Facebook page. "I'm sitting here in my hotel room and it's sinking in. If I didn't have this trophy, I'm not sure I'd really believe it. The evening was so eventful. Read about Tony Rice's contribution tonight if you can find. Meanwhile I'm a happy camper... just sayin,'" the songstress stated.
