The pop-soul vocalist wowed all four judges (Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher) with her unique version of Christina Aguilera's "What a Girl Wants," which helped her land a spot on "Team Adam."
On her experience on "The Voice," she remarked, "A lot of great things came from it and I am really happy that I got to it. I met a lot of cool people and I made a lot of good friends. A lot of great opportunities came from it."
She revealed that her two personal favorite songs that she performed on "The Voice" were Carole King's "You've Got a Friend," which Hill played on piano, as well as will.i.am's "#thatPower." "Those were two really fun weeks for me," she admitted.
Hill is expected to open for singing sensation Josh Groban as part of his "In the Round" tour. "I am super-excited to open for Josh. He's a great artist and my band is really and hyped. It's going to be my first arena tour as a solo act so it's really big for me," she said.
Regarding her plans for the future, she shared, "I am releasing my winter EP and I have a lot of really cool music that I will be releasing this year, along with different tour dates aside from the ones with Josh Groban. I am really excited to continue this journey."
This past summer, Hill made her debut in the documentary film "20 Feet from Stardom," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. "That was really cool. I was honored that I was asked to be a part of it. Morgan Neville is such a great director and he really captured that story really well. The women in the film are so incredible and to be a part of that story was touching."
She listed her influences as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Janis Joplin, Leonard Bernstein, Barbra Streisand, Frank Sinatra, among others; moreover, Stevie Wonder, Sting and Justin Timberlake are the male artists that she would love to someday collaborate with.
For her fans, Hill concluded, "Thank you so much for the support. Everybody has been so encouraging to me on Facebook and on Twitter. These messages mean a lot to me. I hope to continue to stay connected with them, since I have a lot of exciting things this year to look forward to."
