In the last fight they had, his brother allegedly took a hammer and tried to attack the alleged killer, who grabbed a gun and hit his brother several blows to the head, one of which was the mortal blow.
The alleged murderer admitted that he had killed his brother, but did not remember how many days ago. He said he had dismembered him and had placed parts of the remains in a chest freezer hidden in the shared home.
The alleged killer took the police to the house, where they found two freezers containing bones, organs and body sections. More remains were discovered in a main fridge freezer in the house.
Police investigators seized various tools that the detainee could have used to dismember the corpse. Investigations are continuing and the remains are yet to be formally identified as the alleged killer's brother.
