article imageOp-Ed: George Galloway to produce ‘The Killing Of Tony Blair’

By Alexander Baron     Sep 29, 2013 in Politics
Politicians are not noted for plain speaking. George Galloway is not an ordinary politician, and he's asking in plain English for your money.
This short video needs no explaining, certainly not if you live in the UK or the Middle East and are politically aware. Tony Blair was Prime Minister of England from May 1997 until June 2007. It has to be said that his government, so-called New Labour, began with great ideals, and may have achieved great things. One of its major commitments was to get the entire country from young to very old including the socially deprived, on-line. Then came September 11, 2001. And the rest is history, that and a trail of dead bodies.
There are those, including the outspoken George Galloway, who believe Tony Blair to be one of the most notorious war criminals still at large. Indeed, he has already been convicted by the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Commission.
Sadly, that august body has no jurisdiction outside of the imagination of its founder, the charismatic former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir. George Galloway has bigger ideas though, and is raising funds to make a film that he hopes will document Blair's crimes so thoroughly that he will indeed be indicted in an international criminal court. As he explains in the above short video: "I could go looking for a few rich people to give us a lot of money to make it." Instead, he would rather take a pound off 50,000 people. He has already reached more than double that, but he has only eight days to go. Well, if daffy "pop culture critic" Anita Sarkeesian can dupe the suckers into funding her tropes videos to the tune of $150,000+, isn't Gorgeous George worth a quid or two, just in case he overruns his budget?
