article imageJustin Bieber and Zach Galifianakis live in 'Funny or Die' sketch

By Marcus Hondro     Sep 27, 2013 in Entertainment
All the misdeeds of the past few months in Justin Bieber's life don't mean the kid doesn't have talent, and not just in music. A new "interview," a sketch, on 'Funny or Die' with Zach Galifianakis, shows a cool guy who is funny and self-deprecating.
'Funny of Die' is a website created by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay that features loads of comic shorts films. There's an earlier one of Bieber after a visit to the dentist but that short, way back when he'd only had one hair-do in his career, doesn't match this latest one for laughs.
In this new short Bieber is on 'Between Two Ferns' an online show Galifianakis created to create interviews with celebs. Galifianakis, of 'Tim and Eric' and 'Hangover' fame, makes a ton of fun of Bieber with his oddball, quirky host character, a character intended to create some awkward moments throughout his talks. In this one, he asks Bieber about his hair, his behaviour, what he's thinking while performing and how many Happy Meals he's had.
Bieber and Galifianakis shine
We won't give any specifics away here but there is a physical confrontation and throughout Bieber's reactions are deadpan and rather sublime and he shows some of the acting chops he's developed on shows such as CSI: Las Vegas and simply by being in front of the camera so often on talk shows and in interviews.
It's a must for Bieber fans and anyone who thinks the 19-year-old is just another full-of-himself bad boy. The diminutive Canadian has indisputably got a certain charm and it shines here. For that matter, so does Zach Galifianakis.
