On Tuesday, keys were left in a security vehicle, and eight prisoners took off with it, but were captured a few hours later.
According to Time, the prisoners made a break for freedom after prison guards parked outside the hospital and left the keys in the ignition, with the inmate transportation vehicle still running.
ABC says that by the afternoon, six inmates were captured, and the other two were captured around 6 p.m., after they drove the vehicle a short distance and then decided to flee on foot.
According to Huffington post, authorities say that they are not quite sure how the inmates managed to gain control of the vehicle, but there is an ongoing investigation.
The transportation company that was transporting the inmates, Prisoner Transportation Services of Nashville, Tenn., said that they were moving prisoners, but they did not comment any further on the matter because the investigation is still ongoing.
