The Ring Magazine's current poll show 66 percent of its viewers favoring Manny Pacquiao to win over Brandon Rios when they collide at the Venetian Resort & Casino on Nov. 24 in Macau, China.
The Ring viewers were asked: What will be the result of the Manny Pacquiao-Brandon Rios fight on Nov. 23? (Nov. 24 in China).
The current poll as of Sept. 24 shows 66 percent of viewers favor Pacquiao to win via knockout while 18 percent say Pacquiao will win by decision. A low 14 percent say Rios will win by KO while two percent think Rios will win by decision. Less than one percent say it will be a draw.
Pacquiao hopes to bounce back in the ring to face Rios in November following his controversial loss to Palms Springs boxing sensation Timothy Bradley in June 2012.
On Dec. 8, 2012, Pacquiao lost to Mexican counter-puncher Juan Manuel Marquez via knockout that happened less than a second before the end of the the sixth round after leading in judges' scorecards at the end of the fight.
Critics say that Pacquiao is no longer the same fighter he was five years ago when he sent legendary Oscar de la Hoya to retirement on his way to a 15-fight winning streak.
But these same critics must have forgotten that Pacquiao was very impressive against Bradley and Marquez despite the losses. Read more:
Rios is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Mike Alvarado in March, his first in 31 professional fights.
Rios, who is moving up to 147 said he is ready to face Pacquiao.
"I'm moving up in weight, so I don't have to kill myself. I'll have better muscle tone and better everything. But you know what? I'm going to be ready. Pacquiao is no joke. I'm getting ready for the the best Pacuqiao ever," said Rios.
"But like I've been telling everybody, it's my time. I've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. I've been promised Pacquiao or Marquez, Marquez or Pacquiao for the longest time. Now, I've got Pacquiao, and I'm going to take this opportunity to go out and to dominate in every way that I can to come out victorious."
Rios is the former WBA lightweight champion.
