By Larry Seely     Sep 22, 2013 in Sports
Dallas - Dallas came into Sunday's NFL contest with the St. Louis Rams with something to prove and they didn't disappoint the home crowd as they dominated the contest and won easily 31-7.
DeMarco Murray had his best game of the season, rushing for 175 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries as the Cowboys totaled just over 400 yards in offense. Quarterback Tony Romo finished the afternoon completing 17 of 24 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
St. Louis came into the game not allowing a sack, but the Cowboys defense dominated the first half, allowing just one first down and harassing Sam Bradford all day, recording six sacks. Bradford finished the day completing 29 of 48 throws for 240 yards and a score.
The Rams played without starting running back Daryl Richardson, but it didn't matter as the Cowboys opened a quick 10-0 lead and extended that advantage to 24-0 early in the third quarter.
Dallas improved to 2-1 and have taken the lead in the NFC East. St. Louis dropped to 1-2 and things won't get any easier as the host San Francisco on Thursday night.
