article imageChris Brown: 'Jay-Z stabbed somebody, sold drugs, gets a pass'

By Layne Weiss     Sep 21, 2013 in Entertainment
During a candid interview with JET Magazine, R&B singer Chris Brown spoke about a variety of topics including Jay-Z's stabbing of Lance "Un" Rivera and selling drugs. He also speaks on Trayvon Martin and Rihanna.
"No disrespect because I'm a fan, but nobody brings up the fact that JayZ stabbed somebody and sold drugs. He gets a pass," Brown says in the interview.
In 2001, Hov pleaded guilty to stabbing record producer Lance "Un" Rivera two years prior. The stabbing took place outside New York's Kit Kat club.
Brown also admitted that he loves Rihanna and current girlfriend Karrueche Tran equally.
“Relationships are the most difficult part. That’s why I was honest with those two girls and I put out that video,” he shares. “My ex and I broke up because of the ‘situation’ and she had moved on. I fell in love with another girl. Then my ex came back, so it was like, ‘What is a man to do?’ I told them both the truth. I didn’t do the sucker role.”
During the interview, Brown also addresses his anger management issues. "You have to go through the struggle before you can get to the good part. I don't try to lash out at people, or be as mad or impulsive as I used to be," he says according to USA Today.
Brown also talks about the Trayvon Martin case and how it affected him.
“I identify with Trayvon 100 percent as far as living in 2013 and still dealing with blatant racism,” he says. “This generation is so used to racism that it’s normal; we don’t care. We aren’t on drugs or catching AIDS, but they still look at us as n—-s."
