Cape Town - Situated on Signal Hill above Cape Town's city center is the Bo-Kaap, an historical district and the center of the Cape Malay culture in Cape Town, South Africa. La Rose Bed & Breakfast can be found nestling among the colorful houses in the area.
Formerly known as the Malay Quarter, the Bo-Kaap is the rich and historical center of Cape Malay culture in Cape Town. A multicultural area, known for its beautifully colorful homes and romantic cobblestone streets.
The Nurul Islam Mosque, established in 1844, is located in the area, which is rich in history. The area is also famous for its quaint shops, where you buy anything from Indian spices to traditional Cape Malay food, as well as funky African arts and crafts, and is now also a favored destination for film and advertising shoots.
