According to Deadline,
Black, 30, has signed on to come back to the franchise as a regular.
Not only will he reprise his role in
Fast & Furious 7, but
Deadline also
reported that he will also be in the next two installments.
The Belfast Telegraph noted that there has been speculation about the return of Black's character, because the end of the last film saw the team about to travel to Tokyo, Japan, where
Tokyo Drift took place.
The Huffington Post also
mentioned that in the
Fast & Furious universe the events of the last three movies took place before the events of
Tokyo Drift.
Deadline also
reported that
James Wan (
The Conjuring, and both
Insidious movies) will be directing this time around, and the script has been written by
Chris Morgan who's written the previous four installments of the franchise.
Jason Statham and
Djimon Hounsou have also joined for this installment.
Fast & Furious 7 is due out in theaters July 11th, 2014.
