Farmingville - On September 7, Show-Dog Universal Music recording country artist Joel Crouse took some time after his performance at "Vets Rock" in Farmingville, Long Island and sat down and chatted with me about his musical endeavors.
His lead single "If You Want Some" was a Top 35 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts.
Crouse has shared the stage with such artists as Taylor Swift and Darius Rucker. "That was crazy to be on Darius' tour last year. It was a dream for me, and when we received the call for Taylor, it was just as crazy. I learned a lot from being on both of those tours and I am totally happy for them," he said.
At this year's "Vets Rock" concert in Long Island, New York, he opened for such country acts as Florida Georgia Line, Love and Theft, Thompson Square and headliner Brantley Gilbert. "It's such a great event for a great cause and I always love coming to Long Island since they play my music," he said.
Crouse revealed that he is gearing up for his upcoming album release, as well as his second radio single which will hit country radio this fall.
Most recently, he was featured in Country Weekly Magazine. "That was cool. I didn't know when the issue was coming out but when somebody posted the full spread on it, it was pretty awesome," he acknowledged.
He noted that the hardest part of his job as a musician is the travelling aspect of it, yet for Crouse it is all fun.
For his fans, Crouse concluded, "I have never been more thankful for people that really listen to my songs, my writing and the music behind it. I am grateful for them and I always love giving them more music to listen to."
