American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips continues to reign supreme in the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Charts.
Phillips is signed to the major record label Interscope Records, whose roster includes such artists as Robin Thicke, Lady Gaga, Carly Rae Jepsen, Maroon 5, Eminem, among others.
HIs single "Gone Gone Gone" sits at No. 1 for the week ending September 21, 2013, thus spending its third consecutive week at the top position of the adult contemporary charts.
"Gone Gone Gone" was used as the "farewell song" on the twelfth season of "American Idol," and it played in the background to spotlight the musical journeys of the contestants that were eliminated each week on the reality singing competition.
If the song keeps this pace up for nine more weeks, it will tie his breakthrough hit "Home" for the most weeks at No. 1 this year on those charts.
It is heard regularly on such radio stations in New York as 106.7 Life FM, as well as 102.7 Fresh FM and Z100. It has sold over one million units to date.
