By Layne Weiss     Sep 14, 2013 in Entertainment
London - Actor Colin Firth will provide the voice of the lovable Paddington Bear in a new film from the men behind the "Harry Potter" movies.
Nicole Kidman, who was recently knocked off her bike by paparazzi (but is totally ok), has signed onto play the villain, The Daily Mail reports.
Paddington Bear was from Peru. He was named after the London station where he was found by the Brown family.
Hugh Bonneville will play Mr. Brown and Sally Hawkins will play Mrs. Brown, BBC News reports. Julie Walters has been cast as the housekeeper, Mrs. Bird, and actor Jim Broadbent will play antiques shop owner Mr. Gruber.
"Paddington will appear computer generated and I will speak his lines with, I expect, a slight Peruvian, flavor, Colin Firth said, according to The Daily Mail.
"Every other character in the film will be real, live human beings,"he said.
"I just had to do the bear film," Nicole Kidman said.
The film will be made by Harry Potter producer David Heyman and director Paul King, who was behind the British TV comedies "Come Fly With Me" and "The Mighty Boosh."
