article imageReview: Cody Simpson shines on new music video for 'La Da Dee' Special

By Markos Papadatos     Sep 14, 2013 in Entertainment
Pop music sensation Cody Simpson posted the music video for "La Da Dee" on his official You Tube channel on September 12.
This song is featured in the ending credits in the animated picture "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2," which is out in theaters on September 27.
It is the opening track of his "Surfers Paradise" album, which was released via his label, Atlantic Records.
The video is set in a diner named "Cadillac Jacks," where a flirty waitress keeps on bringing him food to the point where his whole table is filled with meals.
Dressed to impress in a buttoned-down black shirt and a neat haircut, Simpson is seen playing his ukulele and showcasing his dance moves outside the diner. The video also consists of some animated scenes from the animation itself, which are a real treat, since it makes the viewer feel as if the pop sensation was a part of this animated film.
As a song, "La Da Dee" has a laid-back vibe to it and it is reminiscent of a quintessential Jason Mraz tune.
It has already garnered over 220,000 views within a three-day period, thus proving that it has connected well with the fans.
The Verdict
Overall, Cody Simpson delivers on his latest music video for "La Da Dee." Unlike most pop stars these days who go to extreme measures to gain attention, Simpson stays true to himself as an artist and keeps his music videos fresh and clean, where he allows his singing, dancing and instrumental talents to do all the talking. Bravo Cody Simpson.
