Arista Nashville recording artist and former American Idol winner Carrie Underwood is nominated for three Country Music Association (CMA) awards.
Underwood is up for "Female Vocalist of the Year," along with Taylor Swift, reigning CMA 'Female Vocalist' winner Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and first-time nominee Kacey Musgraves.
If Underwood were to be crowned 'Female Vocalist' this year, she will join Martina McBride and Reba McEntire as the female vocalists with the most wins in this category, both of which have four CMA 'Female Vocalist' trophies.
"Blown Away" garnered a nomination in the prestigious "Album of the Year" category, and the music video for her title cut is up for "Musical Video of the Year."
Other artists that secured three CMA nominations include Tim McGraw, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Little Big Town.
Underwood will co-host the CMA ceremony with label-mate Brad Paisley for the sixth consecutive year. It will take place on November 6, 2013, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
