After messages asking members of the pop band to follow her on Twitter go unanswered, an obsessed fan allegedly kills her dog.
A fan of One Direction took her love of the band too far apparently killing her pet chihuahua after members of the English-Irish pop group did not answer her tweet.
"Follow me or I'll break my dog's neck," is what the crazed fan wrote in her Twitter message to Liam Payne of One Direction accompanied by a photo of her pinning her dog to the floor by its throat.
However, the boy band never responded and according to the fan's Twitter account she acted upon her threat.
"I love you. Follow me. My dog just died." The fan tweeted to the boy band several days later.
The young woman, whose account has since been suspended, posted with the message a photo of her apparently cradling a dead chihuahua, visibly upset. Its not the first time the fan only known by her Twitter user name, @Illumivato sent a tweet to the member of boy band threatening violence if they did not follow her on the social media site.
Other messages sent to One Direction were accompanied by pictures of animals in blenders, a child tied up on the floor, and the woman apparently choking her mother. One fan of the popular band has taken the step of starting a petition on to have the obsessed fan arrested and put in jail.
"This person needs to burn in hell and I want to see justice," Mya Fhya wrote in her online petition which has gained nearly 3,000 signatures.
Still other believe the unidentified fan is simply trolling the site and that the pictures attached to her tweets are nothing more than hoaxes. One Direction, which is signed to Simon Cowell's Syco Records which placed third in Britain's X Factor in 2010, has not commented on the incident.
