The youth pastor admitted to police that he had engaged in sexual contact with four boys give them
“sexual purity.” Since his admission, eight more victims have come forward to accuse the former church elder of Victory Fellowship Church. His victims and he would pray asking for help with homosexual urges during the encounter, a method Girouex thought would help cure them. His victims were allegedly told that when they ejaculated, they were getting rid of evil thoughts in their minds.
The
suspension of the sentence will allow Girouex to avoid any jail time by simply completing a state-mandated sexual offender treatment program and completing five years of probation.
Girouex’s wife, Erin,
said that probation was not enough and encouraged any other victims to come forward. She and the defendant have four children together, two of the foster children.
