General Mills
announced a voluntarily recall on refrigerated Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls over concerns that the dough of the cinnamon rolls with icing may contain plastic pieces.
The recall was issued because of a broken piece of plastic on the production line. The company stated in a news release that the recall includes the 8-count single packages of cinnamon rolls with "better if used by" dates of October 30, 2013 and October 31, 2013 and double packs with the dates October 18, 26 and 31 of this year.
These products are sold nationwide, according to General Mills.
Other Pillsbury products or any of the other varieties of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls are not included in the recall.
The products were sold in grocery stores across the U.S. Consumers that have any recalled products should contact General Mills Inc. at 1-800-775-4777 for a replacement or any further questions.
