A second promotional trailer has been released for the upcoming fall anime series called "Coppelion" which airs this coming October.
The second promotional trailer for upcoming Japanese anime series “Coppelion” has been made available for viewing. This series is due to air in Japan this October; it is unknown if it will be streamed online by websites such as Crunchyroll, Hulu, etc. It is one of those kinds of titles that gives a spin on a post-apocalyptic world.
Adapted from the manga of the same name, Coppelion takes place in 2036 in which Japan has been devastated by nuclear meltdown. Due to the content of the story, the release of the anime was pushed back due to the sensitive nature in regards to Fukushima as a result of the 2010 Tsunami Disaster of Japan. The story focuses on three high school girls: Ibara Naruse, Aoi Fukasaku, and Taeko Nomura. All three are genetically engineered to be immune to radioactive activity. They go out to find survivors.
Also, an official video is out that gives a look of the Coppelion manga as well. This video covers the manga's first chapter. As you can see, it's all in color. For more information, you can check out the website.
