By Markos Papadatos     Sep 6, 2013 in Entertainment
RCA Nashville recording artist and country songstress Sara Evans is back with her latest single “Slow Me Down” from her upcoming studio album.
It was released to digital retailers on September 3 and it is making its way up the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts.
“Slow Me Down,” was co-written by Marv Green, Heather Morgan and Jimmy Robbins, as well as co-produced by Evans herself and Mark Bright.
It is a mid-tempo country ballad and it is a tune that many fans can relate to, due to its moving message. She tackles the subject matter with much delicacy and it is filled with raw emotions. Her vocals are as soothing and impressive as ever.
The Verdict
Vocally, with “Slow Me Down,” Evans is in a league of her own. The control and range that she possesses in this ballad are incredible, thus proving that she is the most underrated female vocalist in the country genre. It garners an A rating and she connects with the hearts of her audiences.
“Slow Me Down” ranks in my three all-time favorite songs of hers, along with “Backseat of a Greyhound Bus” and her empowering “A Little Bit Stronger.”
If her new album contains tracks that are anywhere near as exquisite as “Slow Me Down,” it is certain to be her best musical work to date.
Fans should not walk. They should run to their favorite digital retailers and get this new Sara Evans single. It is definitely a keeper.
