Murcia - A 23-year-old Ecuadorian man was leaning over the second-floor balcony, trying to find a WiFi signal on his mobile phone. He apparently lost his balance and fell to his death.
The man was on the balcony of a building in Beniaján, a village close to Murcia in the south of Spain.
According to 20minutos, while trying to access a WiFi signal, he possibly slipped, hit the handrail and fell to the ground from a height of about six meters.
According to local police sources, the parents and sister of the victim reported the accident at 2.23AM on Monday. However emergency services were unable to save the man's life.
His body has been taken to Murcia's Institute of Forensic Anatomy and will be returned to his family once the exact cause of death has been determined.
Police are also investigating the possibility that he had consumed alcohol.
