Los Angeles - Despite reports to the contrary, NBA star Lamar Odom is not missing, his agent says. An article in contradicted reports the player is missing. It said he has been found in a hotel in Los Angeles.
An article in bleacher has reported that the agent for Los Angeles Clippers forward Lamar Odom says his client is not really missing as press reports have said and is fine, and the same article reported he was found in a hotel in Los Angeles. Reportedly friends are trying to get him help, and the story states the help is for a drug problem he has. The story said he was found Monday.
A number of Internet reports had said that Odom, the husband of actress Khloe Kardashian, had been missing for last three days. The television show, TMZ, made that claim on Sunday, according to an article in
The television show on Friday reported the star player has had a drug problem for two years. This reportedly caused in crisis in the home Odom-Kardashian household.
The article quoted someone close to the couple as telling People magazine that Khloe has kept the secret for nearly two years in an attempt to “save Lamar and their marriage." According to the magazine, the actress only recently allowed the news to become public. Reportedly, her family has attempted to help her since then.
According to the television show, Khloe pressured Odom to go into rehabilitation last summer. Reportedly, he left the facility in San Diego after less than a month. TMZ has reported he stayed clean during the season. The show claims he fell back after the Clippers’ season was over.
Reports claim Odom refused to go back into rehabilitation, even after his wife’s family staged an intervention in recent days. According to TMZ reports, Odom went missing after his wife kicked him out of the family house.
The television show reported the family can’t find him and has been unable to contact him for three days. The show claims the family fears he might be on a crack cocaine binge.
According to the story, former coaches have said Lamar Odom has often disappeared and went into hiding during difficult times. The article reported that Sports Illustrated said Odom was suspended twice in 2001, after allegedly violating the NBA’s anti-drug policy. That was during the forward’s first stint with the Clippers.
The article claims he then admitted he had used marijuana. It claimed he then told reporters that did not want people to judge his mistakes because he had "made a couple and I may make a couple again.” He reportedly said he would never make as big a mistake again.
Odom won two championships with the Lakers. He then played for the Dallas Mavericks and Clippers. Odom is a free agent, but the Clippers had expressed an interest in re-signing him.
According to, Odom has a career scoring average of 13 points a game to go along with 3.7 assists and 8.4 rebounds. He has a playoff scoring average of five points a game, to go along with 1.7 assists and 5.9 rebounds.
