Brooklyn - Rapper Wiz Khalifa co-hosted an event in Brooklyn Saturday with Converse to celebrate his new collection with the brand, AllHipHop reports.
Wiz unveiled his official "Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Wiz Khalifa" collection at Converse Rubber Tracks in Brooklyn.
Each shoe in the collection features the rapper's signature logo against the classic Chuck Taylor All Star silhouette, XXL Mag reports.
The collection became available on Friday, August 23, Unlocked by Footlocker reports.
The kicks are available at Foot Locker, Foot Action, and Converse stores, XXL Mag reports.
The new line features 12 styles which the Pittsburgh rapper and Converses's design team collaborated on.
Wiz was wearing a pair of light blue shoes from the collection to the event, XXL Mag reports.
"I was excited to collaborate with the team at Converse because I felt they really got my individual style and vision, Khalifa said. "The sneakers in my collection are dope and I'm excited to share them with my fans, he said, according to AllHiphop.
This marks the artist's first ever footwear collection, Unlocked by Footlocker reports.
During the event, Wiz also gave a special performance, which featured DJ Bonics on the turntables, AllHipHop reports.
"Brooklyn was so much fun. Very close and intimate, pretty much how a rocc concert should be," the rapper tweeted after the event. "I don't get many chances to jump off stage and take pics wit all the people in the building, so yea, that was fun."
