Marbella - Enrique Iglesias starred at the Marbella Starlite festival recently as part of his international tour. While he welcomed his adoring audience, Enrique gave extra attention to his biggest fan - his mother, Isabel Preysler.
While there was apparently a delay in his appearance, Enrique still wowed his fans at the Starlite Festival in the Auditorio Marbella last weekend as part of his international tour.
Singing some of his classics, like "Tonight" and "Dirty Dancer," Enrique wore a casual blue shirt, cap and blue jeans and even headed into the crowd, allowing the audience to touch him, take photographs and give him gifts.
Enrique said, "We are in Marbella, let people do what they want."
Everyone got out their mobile phones to capture the moment when he sang his international hit, "Hero."
While it was his first performance at Starlite, there had been rumors that he would be singing with his father, Julio. However, their legendary feud led Enrique to publicly comment with disdain on his father's lecherous ways. However, Julio did appear in the festival earlier in August.
On the other hand, Enrique was extremely happy to have his proud mother, Isabel Preysler, at the show. She led a standing ovation at the end of her son's set from the VIP area, with a smile from ear to ear, together with Enrique's sisters, Tamara Falco and Anna Boyer.
In the video above, Enrique can be heard singing the electronic number, "Tonight", with which he wowed his audience.
During the show, Enrique also sang hits hits like "Be with you", "Tired", for which he changed the shirt and wore a flag of Spain, and "Escape", at which stage more and more people left their seats to head into the pit to greet the singer.
At the end of the show everyone danced, including Enrique's mother, until the early hours of the morning. Reportedly the show has set the bar very high for future editions of Starlite.
The Starlite Festival ran from July 23 to August 24 in Marbella on the Costa del Sol. Enrique played in good company, including Bryan Adams, Alejandro Sanz and Buenavista Social Club, among many other great performers.

About Starlite:
Thirty years ago, three visionaries got together to make Marbella's La Cantera an unrivalled national auditorium and they decided to create a music festival destined to become an international standard-bearer. Those visionaries were Prince Alfonso of Hohenlohe, Julio Iglesias and Plácido Domingo, who presented their project at a concert by the tenor in 1983.
Three decades later, Starlite has recovered its founding essence and the soul of a revealing project.

Entrepreneurs Sandra García-Sanjuán and Ignacio Maluquer have made the dream come true, and Marbella's La Cantera is buzzing again.
Starlite entails an investment of 6 million euros and generates 300 direct jobs. The festival's economic impact exceeds 25 million euros.
