By Markos Papadatos     Aug 25, 2013 in Entertainment
Pop boy band The Wanted released their newest radio single “We Own the Night” on August 11, which is off of their forthcoming studio album “Word of Mouth,” which will be out next month.
The pop group is comprised of Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker, as well as Nathan Sykes.
The tune was co-written by Nasri, Adam Messinger, as well as Nolan Lambroza, who is also known as “Sir Nolan.”
“We Own the Night” is an uplifting and fun party song, where they allow their fans to let loose and have a great time.
Their music video is visually striking and it captures the fun mood of the song and it has garnered well over 3.6 million views on their official YouTube channel.
Although The Wanted is overshadowed by One Direction the majority of the time, vocally they are far superior. They showcase a great deal of talent and to this day I have yet to hear a song from The Wanted that I do not absolutely love. They are consistently good since they emerged in the American pop scene with “Glad You Came.”
The Verdict
In summation, “We Own the Night” is a song that deserves to be played consistently on radio airwaves. It garners an A rating. With this anthemic single, The Wanted prove that they can get the party started in any venue, whether it is a bar, intimate theater, dance club or stadium.
Each member sings their own part on this song, and their superb harmonies are infectious, which leaves their fans wanting to keep this song on repeat the entire day. Thus far, it is the best pop song released by a group this year.
