Fuengirola - A fishing port can be an interesting place to visit, especially when taking photos in a more abstract frame of mind. With the Mediterranean light, anything is possible.
When the writer first got involved in photography, her captures were more of the regular kind — fishing boats with a sunset backdrop, fishermen unloading the catch of the day, etc.
As time has gone by, more abstract views are now attractive, and a photographic eye can find all kinds of interesting scenes to capture.
The image above-left is a more conventional view of the port, over a pile of nets in the late winter evening, but below are a series of other views.

There was a lot of construction work in the port recently, and some pipes caught the photographer's eye - while the pipe was only around 20 cms in diameter, the camera lens makes it look much bigger:
