article imageJennifer Lopez to return as judge on 'American Idol'

By Markos Papadatos     Aug 19, 2013 in Entertainment
According to such outlets as Billboard and New York Daily News, Jennifer Lopez is expected to be returning to American Idol as a judge for its 13th season.
Jennifer's boyfriend, Casper Smart, revealed that information to E! about the pop and dance songstress returning to Idol, as he was promoting his new show "A Step Away."
Fox has not officially confirmed this news, however, there has been speculation for months that she would be returning to the show, especially since her 2012 "Dance Again World Tour" is now over.
Jennifer previously served as a judge on the reality singing competition in 2011 and 2012, the years when Scotty McCreery and Phillip Phillips were crowned Idol champs.
If that were to happen, she will be joining country sensation Keith Urban, as the other confirmed judge on Idol for this upcoming season.
This summer, Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj all departed from American Idol as judges, however, Ryan Seacrest announced that he would be returning as host for yet another season.
