By Markos Papadatos     Aug 16, 2013 in Entertainment
Country songstress and former American Idol alumna Kristy Lee Cook released her latest single “Wherever Love Goes” this week via her label, Broken Bow Records.
It is a duet with fellow chart-topping country singer and songwriter Randy Houser.
“Wherever Love Goes” has already been earned 20 radio adds in several key country markets such as Atlanta, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Portland and San Antonio. It was produced by Derek George and Mickey Jack Cones. The song was co-written by Jason Sellers, Neil Thrasher and Paul Jenkins.
The Verdict
In summation, Randy Houser proves to be a remarkable duet partner on this tune and Kristy Lee Cook’s vocals are superb and reminiscent to those of Martina McBride, where the listener can recall “I Just Call You Mine.” She is such an underrated artist and this vocal showcases her incredible talent and dynamic range. Hopefully the fans will embrace it and it should fare well on the country charts. Vocally, they bring out the best in each other. Randy and Kristy garner 4.5 out of 5 stars on this duet.
