On August 12, pop music superstar Katy Perry released her latest radio single “Roar,” via her record label, Capitol Records.
She co-wrote the song with Bonnie McKee, as well as Max Martin and Lukasz Gottwald, both of which were responsible for the song’s production in addition to their writing duties. It is the lead-off single from her highly-anticipated forthcoming album “Prism” which will be available on October 22.
This month is already off to a great start for Katy. A few weeks ago, she surpassed Lady Gaga and was named the most-followed female in the world; moreover, Katy posted a neat lyric video for her new single earlier today, which consists of text message conversations with emoticons, which was extremely well done and well-received on her official YouTube page.
Katy Perry’s “Roar” is bold, infectious and empowering similar to her previous single “Firework.” It is a breath of fresh air to listen to and it should be the song that will bring her back on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts where she rightly deserves to be. She showcases a lot of charisma on “Roar” and she sings it with much conviction, and her fans can easily relate to it.
