San Diego - There is an Amber Alert in effect for two missing children of a California woman whose body was discovered inside a scorched home near the U.S-Mexico border.
The police believe the man who is suspected of killing the woman may have snatched the children too.
The San Diego’s County Sheriff’s Department is searching for Hannah Anderson, 16, and her younger brother Ethan Anderson, 8, whose mother, Christina Anderson, 44 was one of the two people discovered dead by police who was sent to put out the garage fire in late Sunday.
Police said that there was a second body -- a child's body -- was found in the debris on the property. The child's name and how they died remains undetermined. They also found a dog dead in the home, reported the police.
James Lee DiMaggio, 40, the suspect, owns a home about 60 miles south of San Diego. The suspect and the victim were in a “close platonic relationship,” according to the police department.
It is rumored that Dimaggio is driving a blue Nissan Versa with a California license plate. A reward of $1,000 is currently being offered for any information on the whereabouts of DiMaggio or the Anderson children at this time.
