Sherbrooke - Canada Games 2013 is off to a roaring start as the youthful athletes compete in a wide variety of sporting events designed to bring the best athletic competitors to the fore of this nation and the world's consciousness.
La belle province has been awarded two Gold medals and one Silver medal with all three awarded in the category of Cycling and the division of Mountain Biking.
Leandre Bouchard claimed the Gold medal for cross - country male and his teammate Antoine Caron received the Silver medal in the same category.
A Bronze medal was awarded to Mitchell Bailey from Team Ontario.
In the female division of Cross Country Cycling Fred Trudel received a Gold medal for her outstanding achievement in the sport along with a Silver medal awarded to Laura Bietola and a Bronze medal awarded to Team Manitoba's Karlee Gendron
In the Swimming- 1500 meter competition female division Team Manitoba's Breanne Siwicki was awarded a Gold medal, with Caitlin Hodge from Team Quebec winning silver and Team Alberta's Sophia Saroukian
In the Male 800 meter freestyle competition Team Ontario's Teddy Kalp won Gold, Team Alberta's Jonathon Brown a Silver medal and Jon McKay claimed a Bronze medal for British Columbia.
For Swimming 200 meter-400 meter Para Male Alec Eliot garnered a Gold medal for Ontario, BC"s Dalton Boon recieved a Silver medal with Team Ontario's Zach Zona who recieved a Bronze medal.
In Swimming's 4x 200 meter Freestyle Relay female division Team Ontario won Gold,Team Alberta won Silver , and Team Quebec won Bronze medals.
For Swimming 200 meter and 400 meter Freestyle para meter female division Ontario's Alicia Crystal Denoon won Gold, Sam Ryan won Silver for Team Saskatchewan and Kennedey Pasay was awarded a Bronze medal for Team Alberta.
