article imageFirst 'Sherlock' series 3 trailer excites but reveals little

By Tyler Loveless     Aug 3, 2013 in Entertainment
Friday, August 2, BBC One released the first teaser trailer for their popular, award winning, Sherlock series' third season.
BuzzFeed earlier reported:
"Truth be told, the trailer was a little anticlimactic, but who cares, because when you’re dying of thirst in the desert, even a little bit of water helps, right?"
Anticlimactic is an understatement. The trailer gives almost no information other than a glimpse at Sherlock Holmes who we last saw looking at his sidekick Watson, who thought Mr. Holmes to be dead, across a cemetery. Despite how The Verge has painted this trailer i'm not sure that it is a "spoiler" considering we knew Sherlock survived in the last season but it has certainly been given a lot of hype and with good reason.
The trailer is much appreciated by fans of the show like myself. It is enough to get us excited about the upcoming episodes which, according to IMDb, will be coming to British televisions in October of this year while Americans will have to wait until a less specific "2014".
